Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Law or related field.

• At least five (5) years post qualification experience in a financial institution. Specialized knowledge of enterprise risk management (ERM) as well as industry knowledge of Business Information Systems (BIS).

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage information risk. Analyze and evaluate the business implications of risk, quantify the risk and weigh up risk versus reward.
• Contribute to the development of information technology risk management strategies and define information technology risk management policy.
• Implement information technology Risk management strategies
• Ensure the Bank is in full compliance with all Banking laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures.
• Contribute to the development of disaster recovery and Back Up management, policies, processes, systems and plans

• Evaluate exposure to risks in the business environment, assess macro effect of findings on operating processes and company performance.
• Participate in IT projects and initiatives to bring pro-active risk management focus into IT solutions
• Determine the approach to correct information systems control deficiencies ad majority gaps to ensure that deficiencies are appropriately considered and remedied
