CUSTOMS & LOGISTICS OFFICER – AIR BOTSWANA

Purpose of the Job

To expedite the receipt of supplies by ensuring the accurate and timely submission of documentation to Customs, and the processing of shipping documentation.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and implements cost containment measures and projects for the Section
• Maintains effective working relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and service providers by ensuring adherence to service level agreements and contractual requirements
• Keeps abreast with latest developments in logistics management and customs regulations, recommends initiatives that lead to process improvement by applying acquired knowledge, skills and best practise

• Complies with Quality and Safety Management policies and procedures in all activities undertaken in order to minimize unsafe incidents and accidents.

• Ensures that parts are properly packaged, crated and parcelled to prevent damage

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS Minimum Education required

• Degree in Logistics Management or related. CILT or an internationally recognized

materials management qualification will be an added advantage.

Minimum Experience required

• Two (2) years’ experience Thorough knowledge of Botsw ana and regional customs

regulations and procedures is essential.
