Head, Enterprise Risk

JOB PURPOSE

Manage the risk of loss resulting from inadequate or failed internal processes, people and systems or from external events.  Initiate measures and controls for the minimization/prevention of losses arising from the above categories.

THE JOB

The position will be responsible for among other things the following:

• Maintaining the BSB enterprise risk management framework.
• Coordinating training of BSB managers on enterprise risk management process.
• Coordinating enterprise risk data collections.
• Coordinating and participating in enterprise risk report consolidation.
• Coordinating, reporting and monitoring risk mitigation.
• Maintaining BSB credit management framework.
• Coordinating credit application reviews.

• Ensuring proactive fraud management policies & procedures.
• Ensuring effective fraud investigations & reporting.
• Overseeing fraud prevention actions.
• Overseeing maintenance of accurate security evaluations and audits.
• Maintaining the BSB information risk management framework.
• Coordinating & reporting risk mitigation.

THE PERSON

The right candidate will possess the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Business Management, Financial Management (e.g. Banking, Insurance, Finance, Accounting etc.)  Law or their equivalents.

•  A relevant Master’s Degree would be an added advantage

• A minimum of eight (8) years post qualification experience in a related field, preferably in a financial institution.
