Botswana Accountancy College – Accountancy Lecturers – Full time (x3 Posts)

Botswana Accountancy College is looking for suitably qualified individuals to teach on a range of programs on a fulltime and part-time basis within the School of Finance & Professional Studies (SFPS), School of Business and Leisure (SBL) and the office of the Registrar.

1. Accountancy Lecturers – Full time (x3 Posts)

(Three year renewable fixed-term contract tenable in Gaborone)

Main Purpose of the Job:

To develop and produce learning and teaching material, support Course Managers and/or Coordinators and other members of the academic team with student induction, student remediation, academic counselling, student surveys and module evaluation.

Key Performance Areas

• Lecturing and teaching in subject area of expertise
• Managing learning and teaching
• Designing and managing academic assessments
• Mentoring and supervising students

Competencies and skills required:

• Lecturing in the following modules (Proficiency in at least two subjects required)
• BICA: Audit & Assurance, Financial Accounting & Reporting, Business Planning Taxation and Corporate Reporting

• ACCA: Audit & Assurance(F8), Financial Reporting(F7), Advanced Audit & Assurance(P7) and Corporate Reporting(P2)
• In additional to lecturing in core modules cited above, the individual should be able to teach other subject disciplines within the portfolio of professional programs.
• Plus, skills in partnership and business development; Knowledge management; Application of job knowledge; Results orientated; Accountability; Problem analysis and Solving

Experience and qualifications:

• Associate/Fellow member of BICA (CA), ACCA or an IFAC recognised Chartered Accountancy qualification.

• At least six (6) years post of qualification experience, of which three (3) should be been in a tertiary education teaching environment.
