The Botswana Housing Corporation (BHC), a statutory corporation in Property
Development and Estates Management business invites applicants who
are suitably qualified and have relevant experience for the following positions:

SENIOR OFFICER – SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMEMT AND QUALITY

Main Purpose of the job

To provide site SHEQ supervision, ensure facility compliance with corporate
SHEQ standards, implement SHEQ directives, improve SHEQ performance
and ensure facility SHEQ policies and procedures are aligned with government
regulations. The role holder would be responsible for the design,
implementation, communication, and coordination of all environmental,
quality, health and safety programmes for the Corporation. They will also be
expected to provide both technical and administrative direction on all SHEQ
decisions within BHC.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering,
Social Sciences, Sciences or related fields.
• Post Graduate Qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.
• Training in ISO 9001 (Implementation, Documentation and Auditing),
ISO 14001 (Implementation and Auditing) and ISO 18001
(Implementation and Auditing).
• Professional membership of a recognised institute will be an added
advantage.
• Desirable experience in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
• Minimum of six (6) years of post-qualification experience in safety
occupational health, quality and environment management.
• Ability to work at strategic level
