MASCOM – SENIOR INFRASTRUCTURE ANALYST- UNIX

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the design, deployment, installation, configuration and maintenance of UNIX-based and virtualized server systems and software.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the operations and maintenance of Linux Servers, which include but not limited to Red Hat, OEL and Solaris.
• Provide Linux technical lead on projects in a highly heterogeneous environment.
• Provide capacity planning, performance monitoring, patch management and disaster recovery planning and implementation.
• Coordinate service needs with Vendors and cross functional teams, through effective partnership, collaboration and communication.
• Provide 2nd Line support for end users, and administration teams.
• Quality Management.
• Safety, Health and Environment.
• Minimum Education or Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computers Science or equivalent
• Solid understanding of Networking, infrastructure Services; DNS, DHCP and SAN storage concepts.
• Technical certifications such as ITIL and Prince 2 Practitioner will be an added advantage

Key Skills and Experience:

• 5 years UNIX Administrator Experience.
• Experience integrating, testing and managing complex virtualized environments.
• Experience with system hardening and security best practices
