Reception Supervisor – Sidilega Private Hospital

An opportunity has arisen for the above position at Sidilega Private Hospital in Gaborone Block 7, which is expected to be completed towards the end of 2018. The citizen owned multi-specialty tertiary care hospital is expected to attract Batswana and the rest of the SADC region for medical and health care services.

Critical Output:

• Develop sound working relationships with internal and external customers in order to provide quality customer care
• Ensure pre-administrative functions are performed accurately as per protocol
• Ensure administrative functions are performed accurately as per set protocol
• Ensure collection of pre-payments and deposits as prescribed by Management
• Actively sponsor initiatives and demonstrate visible leadership skills in order to improve productivity and influence change
• Provide direction and inspire positive work behavior among subordinates
• Manage performance ratings for all staff through the performance improvement process

• Ensure productive working relationships are supported with minimum IR issues
• Conduct all exit interviews in order to ensure retention of critical and talented professional staff
• Ensure effective patient data and billing processes are observed by admissions clerks
• Ensure that all pre-payments and co-payments are collected on admissions in order to effectively manage cash flow
• Ensure that cash handling protocol and procedures are adhered to as per policy
• Actively participate in achieving hospital DSO targets

Requirements:

• Diploma or Business degree
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position within a healthcare

environment preferably in a Private Hospital.

• Working knowledge of funder rules and a general understanding of medical terminology
• Comprehensive knowledge of admissions procedures
• Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage
• Basic understanding of Credit Control functions & financial principles
