To implement community Relations programme that strengthens relations between the Mine and communities, and manages potential social risks that may impact the Operation’s social performance programme.

Minimum Requirements
· BA Degree Public Relations, Environmental Science, Enterprise Risk Management, Sociology, Economics or equivalent
· Three (3) years’ post qualification experience

Added Advantages
· Experience in stakeholder engagement at local authority and national level
· Strong background in community relations with a track record of managing sustainable community development programmes
· Knowledge in both quantitative and qualitative skills
· Knowledge of the Social Performance framework

Key Activities
· Recommends and incorporates cost saving initiatives into budgets and controls the expenditure within approved parameters.
· Establishes and maintains strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
· Facilitates external stakeholders and media engagements on the Company’s Social Performance/Community Relations initiatives.
· Implements risk management mechanisms to alleviate recurrence, less-en social risk and proactively manage reputational implications.
· Implements creative and innovative ideas to continuously improve and sustain business performance.
· Partners with communities to proactively identify, manage and monitor the impacts of mine activities in the areas around the Mine.
· Tracks and monitors the company’s social commitments for completion within time and budget.
· Adheres to all safety, health and environmental and corporate governance principles, policies and procedures in area of responsibility.
