Biomedical/ Clinical Engineering Technician

Main Purpose of the Job

Professional and efficient installation, maintenance and service of medical equipment under company’s portfolio.

Key Performance Areas
• Provision of routine technical support to our customers on operational and maintenance aspects of equipment
• On site installations, customer training, maintenance, trouble shooting and repair
• Scheduling and performing preventative maintenance
• Following documented practices, policies and procedures in providing repair and support
• Documentation of all activities in a manner compliant with company’s quality procedures

• Effective written/ verbal communications skill
• Ability to work independently and under timelines
• Ability to travel in/ outside Botswana including overnights and occasional work unsociable and irregular hours

Qualifications
• Diploma in Biomedical/ Clinical Engineering
• Knowledge of electronics and electro-mechanical systems
• Driver’s license
• Registration with Botswana Health Professions Council (BHPC)
• Registration with other relevant Professional Bodies would be an added advantage
Work Experience
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a clinical environment
• Training/ certificates on medical equipment will be an added advantage
