The Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST) is looking for qualified and experienced individuals for the below post.

The position is offered on a contract basis of up to 5 years.

CONTRACTS MANAGER

Main Purpose of the Job

To initiate, monitor, control and ensure closure of contract management aspects on BIUST projects. This includes effective compliance to processes and procedures in the delivery of projects and service provider contracts.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXEPRIENCE

Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in the fields of Quantity Surveying, Engineering and Construction Management or related fields.

Experience:

• A minimum of eight (8) years post qualification experience in a construction industry environment dealing with contracts matters.

COMPETENCIES:

• Administering FIDIC contracts
• Communication skills
• Contract law
• Dispute Resolution mechanism
• Negotiation skills
• Good problem solving skills are essential
• High level conceptual and analytical ability, creativity and innovations.

• Establishment of sound contract management framework
• Adherence to good corporate governance
• Drafting of contracts
• Provision of mediation and arbitration services
• Cost control and management of budget
• Safety Health and Environment management
• Contract Dispute resolution
