MAIN PURPOSE
To deliver exceptional customer service by creating visual displays with high impact using the store as a marketing vehicle, and thereby increasing sales.

KEY OUTCOMES
Demonstrate customer service (Customer)
•Greets, smile and acknowledges customers
•Displays a friendly and helpful attitude when interacting with both internal and external customers
•Identify customer needs in order to provide optimal service
•Attend to customers quickly and effectively
•Takes responsibility for serving the customer and finding solutions to the customer’s queries
•Handle customer questions and queries effectively
•Approach all customers and offer assistance in the department.

Applies visual merchandising skills (Cross Selling & Service)
•Selects merchandise and displays it in a way that is in line with our brand values and the current direction given from Head Office
•Dresses windows, visuals and cameos that has impact and encourages sales
•Demonstrates a clear understanding of the correct use of colour in order to create impact in visuals
•Replaces removed item by correctly selecting, steaming and redressing the item which has been removed.

Manages time effectively (Leadership)
•Works efficiently and effectively allowing enough time to spend on each visual in order to apply attention to detail
•Plans day to ensure that all tasks are achieved

Applying selling skills (Cross Selling & Service)
•Meets customers’ needs and expectations by listening to and advising customers
•Offer alternatives if merchandise not available and or sizes not available

Demonstrates product knowledge and standards (Knowledge)

•Understands what the current fashion trends are, by reading magazines and is aware of the competitor activity
•Styles wigs competently
•Understands and applies the policy of ‘no pins’ in relevant departments
•Know what new lines and promotions have come into the store.

•Know what special events are happening in store
•Advise customers according to their lifestyle and segmentation
•Identify location of products in departments and where in the stockroom

Adheres to shop keeping disciplines (Presentation)
•Does daily housekeeping and checks visuals and windows throughout the day
•Maintain hygienic, safe and well-organised sales floor and back areas
•Dresses models and handles all equipment and props with care to avoid breakages
•Maintains all visual equipment to minimise breakages
•Support the implementation of loss and control measures.
•Understands health and safety procedures and policies

Minimizes shrinkage (Knowledge)
•Effective management of stock losses
•Reporting acts of dishonesty related to shrinkage and fraud to your line manager
•Minimises spoilage of products
•Identify and manage shrinkage hotspots in the store
•Perform and assist with stock take

Demonstrates personal leadership (Leadership)

•Demonstrates self-discipline with regards to attendance, dress code, hygiene and timekeeping
•Attends/is informed of the game plan/team meeting to know the days focus

Requirements
•The ability and flexibility to work different shifts.
•Previous experience in the Retail or Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry, would be advantageous
