Senior Risk Analyst (x2) – Mazars Botswana

Mazars is an international, integrated and independent organization, specializing in audit, accounting, tax and advisory services. Mazars Botswana has over 200 professionals operating from the head-office in Gaborone and six other branches located in Lobatse, Ghanzi, Maun, Selebi-Phikwe, Francistown and Palapye. We have the following vacancies.

Position Title: Senior Risk Analyst (x2)

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
– The ideal candidate shall be responsible for assessment and management of various risks
associated with the functioning of the company and its clients;
– The candidate will be analysing client data evaluating needs and helping create effective solutions;
analyzing and summarising complex data and compiling reports on the adequacy and effectiveness
of the governance, risk, and internal control framework for the firm and its clients as appropriate;

– Train and develop trainees and staff;
– Responsible for assessment and management of various risks associated with the functioning of
the company and its clients.

Qualifications:
– B Com degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent.

Experience:
– A minimum of 7 years’ experience in risk analysis and advisory role;
– Ample experience at managerial level in a similar position is a pre-requisite;
– Experience in the use of any Risk Management Software, Active Risk Manager and SAS Risk
Management Software is a requirement.

Person Specification:
– In-depth knowledge of Financial services, Credit risk, Operational risk;
– Strong numerical, analytical and strategy skills;
– Detailed oriented;
– Proficient in English & MS Office;
– Good written and verbal communication skills.
