JOB DESCRIPTION

To operate, control and monitor the operations of the power generating units and its auxiliaries to ensure safe and efficient generation of power in accordance with standard procedures and safety standards.

Autonomy – The job holder works under general direction and guidelines.

Improvements – The job holder identifies technical malfunctions and analyses the problems, contacts supplier or other specialists and provides technical solutions.

Complexity – The job holder makes repairs and adjustments that are complex while providing advice and technical direction.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

1. A recognized Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

1. Work Experience: A minimum of 5 years post qualification experience of which 2 years should have been served as a Plant Operator.
2. Supervisory Experience: Experience of supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited time frames
