Tour Operator in Botswana seeks dynamic, passionate and experienced Operations Manager to start asap.

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following :

• Implementation of company policies and procedures
• Implementation and control of systems
• Report to Directors on changes or improvements to systems
• Daily Operational activities of the company
• Management of staff including hiring and disciplinary procedures
• Comprehensive understanding of the Botswana labour law
• Ensure company vehicles are serviced and maintained to standard
• Ensure quality standards are maintained
• Ensure safety procedures are implemented and enforced
• Implement and operate to acceptable budgets
• Ensure company property is accounted for and cared for to acceptable standards
• Maun based with regular visits to safaris in the Botswana bush
• Ensure our social responsibility and responsible tourism targets are adhered to and improved.
• Prepare monthly progress report to directors

Skills/Requirements:

• Minimum 15 Years relevant management experience
• Relevant Tertiary Qualification would assist with work permit application however preference will be given to Botswana citizens .
• Clean traceable references
• Must be self-motivated and organized
• This is a “hands on” position and not suitable to applicants wanting an office only environment
• We are a “wheels” based business and technical experience will be an advantage. Our mobile camps are moved by vehicle every few nights to a different destination.
• Mobile safaris can be a high pressure environment and you must be able to work flexible hours and make decisions under pressure
