1. WORKS SUPERINTENDENT -1 POST

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To monitor the maintenance and repair activities in a cluster of workshops and provide technical advice to user department
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Provides technical advice to departments on the suitability & conditions of vehicles.
• Monitors the compliance of Service Level Agreements
• Authorizes requests for procurement of spare parts and workshop equipment.
• Monitors services that have been sub-contracted.
• Monitors the repairs and maintenance activities.
• Inspects the workshops quarterly.
• Coordinates maintenance planning.
• Prepares and submits requests to extend repair limit for Public Procurement and Assets Disposal Board.
• Analyzes weekly/monthly reports and makes recommendations.
• Recommends disposal of obsolete spares and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Automotive Engineering.

EXPERIENCE: 2 years’ experience as Chief Technical Officer or eight (8) years proven post qualification experience in relevant field.

SALARY: D3 salary scale (P 222,348.00- P245,472.00) per annum

LEAVE: 30 Working days per annum
