MANAGER LEGAL SERVICES

Reporting to the Head, legal and Company Secretary, the successful individual will provide proactive commercial legal advice to BDC and its subsidiaries by ensuring compliance with rules, guidelines, regulatory standards and local law

You will be responsible for contributing to the development of internal policies and procedures that enhance corporate governance, contract management and adherence to set rules, guidelines and regulatory standards You will also be required to manage legal matters that may have a bearing on the operations of the Corporation, drafting of service level agreements and standards and assist in preparation of detailed performance contracts, agreements and monitoring.

You will draft and review loan agreements, term sheets and related security documents and brief counsel, specialised attorneys and advisors on the details of the documentation, contribute to the preparation and submission of key legal reports, compliance with statutory requirements and facility terms »n addition you will provide Board and Company Secretarial services to the Corporation and its subsidiaries.

You should possess a Bachelor of Law Degree with emphasis on Corporate and Commercial Law with at least five (S) years’ post qualification experience in a corporate firm and/or financial services environment. Ycki must be a member of the law Society of Botswana and admitted as an Attorney. Conveyancer and Notary Public Postgraduate qualification .n the relevant area, will be an added advantage.
