ARTISAN – AUTO ELECTRICIAN

The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing, troubleshooting and upgrading electrical & general maintenance of GABCON fleet which comprises heavy-duty diesel trucks, trailers, and hydraulic heavy lifting equipment. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for the following, among other roles;

•    Diagnose vehicle faults through visual inspection and the use of testing devices

•    Carry out electrical preventative maintenance and repair of vehicles, plant & equipment

•     Attend to defects raised on checklists, breakdowns & inspection reports

•      Repair and or replace defective vehicle components and wiring

•     Attend to equipment breakdowns and provide defects reports on the root cause and action to be taken

•      Maintain regular workshop maintenance records, vehicle files for easy reference and verification

•     Ensure availability of basic maintenance spores, parts & tools.

•     Ensure a high standard of maintenance workshop safety and housekeeping

•     Ensure security of company machinery, fleet, and tools

Minimum Requirements:

•     N.C.C or any recognized trade in Auto Electricals

•     Three (3) years minimum work experience

•      Experience with hydraulic lifting equipment is essential

•     A valid Driver’s license (Class B)

•     Valid EC and PRDP Goods licenses
