Botswana Ash (Pty) Ltd Is a Soda Ash and Salt producing Company situated at Suo Pan in Botswana approximately 100 km by tarred road northwest of Francistown. The Company employs over 500 employees of which close to 300 are unionised Employees and their families live in Sowa Town, about 20 km from the plant site. The town boasts of recreational facilities, which include restaurant, tennis, squash, swimming and golf. There is also an excellent English medium pre-primary, primary and secondary school as well as public primary and |unlor secondary schools

Job Summary

Reporting to the SHE Manager, the incumbent will coordinate environmental management programme and initiatives; to manage the Environmental Management System (EMS) with the aim of establishing a sound framework for an Environmental Management Programme (EMP) that maximises the company value through minimising the cost of environmental risk at the same time ensuring compliance with legal requirements; and building capacity through training of all employees including senior managers.

• Weather monitoring
• Environmental awareness strategies and
• ISO 14001 implementation

Requirements

Ideally, a Degree or High National Diploma in Environmental Management with a minimum of 3 years experience in an industrial environment
