Northern Air Maintenance is an Approved Aircraft Maintenance Organisation based at Maun International Airport Approved by Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe Civil Aviation Authorities

AVIONICS ENGINEER

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

A CAAB licensed Avionics Aircraft Engineer will be responsible to carry out service, repair, inspection, modifications, maintenance of all Electrical equipment, defects rectification and any other related duties within the scope of an Avionics Engineer

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

• To deliver a quality and timeout service to aircraft under maintenance
• To troubleshoot electrical, instruments and radios snags especially on Une maintenance
• Responsible for maintaining and releasing of aircraft serviced by NAM
• Ensures correct use of technical data, tooling and equipment and serviceability.
• To complete all relevant documentation before release of aircraft to service
• To complete timesheets and account for all the time worked
• To maintain a clean and safe working environment
• To make reference and interpret correctly all publications relating to the tasks involved (reference to current maintenance manuals. Airworthiness directives, service bulletins, engineering or other notices from various civil aviation authorities)
• Supervision of Junior Avionics Engineers and Assistant Engineers working under him/ her making sure that they account for their time and maintain a quality service
• To make sure that he reads and understands the approved Maintenance Procedures Manual
• Ensures he has Adequate personal tools and should be dearly laid out in the toolboxes and able to identify any missing tools at a glance
• To carry out Defects rectification away from base whenever necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma In Avionics (Electrics)
• Human factors certificates
• Avionics-Electrical and Radio Licenses.
• 5 years’ experience post qualification as a licensed Aircraft Engineer.
