Hospital General Manager

An international Mining Company would like to invite suitably qualified Hospital General Manager.

The position is part of the Mine Executive Team and will be responsible for managing and coordinating the Mine Hospital and Health Services function in order to achieve business objectives.

The position will be based in Southern Africa.

Duties:

• Analyses the departmental financial needs
• Manages the cost and delivery of health care services
• Manages the cost and delivery of health care services
• Arranges for post mortem examinations
• Infectious decease management
• Initiates further investigations e.g. lab or x –ray to assist in ruling out or confirming suspected pathology and review clinical correspondence about, and results of investigations on patients.
• Performs various operations and gives an aesthesia within scope of practice and experience.
• 8 direct reports, reporting to the GM of the mine

Minimum Requirements 

• MBCh, MBBs – non negotiable
• 10 years relevant experience
• Registration with Health Professions Council
