CATERING ASSISTANT

Diamond Trading Company Botswana (DTCB) is a 50/50 Joint Venture Partnership between the Government of the Republic of Botswana and De Beers Group. It is the world s largest and most sophisticated rough diamond sorting and valuation operation.

We are looking for an innovative and creative Catering Assistant to clean and replenish vending machines and provide office refreshments according to schedule, observing food safety, hygiene and housekeeping standard. The role also assists in food preparation and serving thereof.

The individual will be responsible for distributing confectionery on all floors and keep track of stock, assist in the preparation, cooking, presentation and serving of food, prepare and serve beverages in accordance with the schedule, clean the extractor surfaces on a daily basis in compliance with safety and hygiene standards among others.

Knowledge and skills required are, good industry and best practice knowledge, food and beverage preparation, health legislation, occupational hygiene, teamwork, planning and organising.

You are required to have O’ Level or BCCSE and Trade Test C or equivalent in catering.

Minimum 2 years’ experience within the catering environment.
