Main Purpose of the Job
Reporting to the Head of Risk & Compliance, the incumbent will support the development of policies, procedures, guidelines, infrastructures, systems and processes which will ensure that the bank meets its statutory, regulatory and compliance requirements. Reporting all compliance issues to the Head, s/he will implement and maintain compliance management processes to ensure the business complies with regulatory requirements as provided for in the legislation and mitigates potential exposure to risk

Key Responsibilities
Provide specialist support to management in identifying and compiling risk management plans, provide monitoring levels of compliance and ensure that compliance review procedures are conducted and appropriate follow up actions are taken
Set up systems and processes to allow the Bank to monitor and measure its compliance with regulators and external stakeholders requirements and identify opportunities for improving compliance across the Bank and support their implementation
Identify the compliance priorities and risks suitable for inclusion with the Annual Audit Programme and provide data and reports for the Audit Committee as required
Manage the Bank’s relationship with all regulators
Effectively implement AML reporting framework as required by regulatory authorities
Oversee the effective implementation and continual improvement of a records management framework
Develop and deliver ongoing and ad hoc compliance and related risk management trainings, education and awareness initiatives
Coordinate training of all staff in anti-money laundering awareness and detection methods
Job Specifications
The right candidate will possess the following:
Degree in Business Management or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years in Risk & Compliance environment
Knowledge on Basel
Well versed on Enterprise risk management
Policy drafting expertise
Process software skills
Competencies
High level of professional integrity with strong business communication and presentation
Analytical and detailed orientated
Organizational skills
Resilience
Action and results orientated
Proficient in MS Office with emphasis on word documents, Excel spreadsheets and power point
