VACANCY: SURVEILLANCE AGENTS IN KGATLENG DHMT (4 POSTS)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above positions in Kgatleng District Health Management Team for the above-mentioned positions.

The positions are tenable in Kgatleng DHMT i.e. Mmathubudukwane (x1), Oodi (x1) and  Mochudi (x2)

TERMS:      Temporary

SALARY SCALE: B5 (P32. 592 – P38, 784) per annum LEAVE: 20 working days per annum

QUALIFICATIONS: BGSE/O’ Level

MAIN PURPOSE:

• Community sensitization and mobilization
• Malaria case-based surveillance
• Malaria case management
• Entomological surveillance

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Initial Community mapping (catchment population, village/ward boundaries, places of interest)
• Monthly community talks ( door to door and social gatherings such as Kgotla meetings

x IRS mobilization ( community sensitization before or during IRS campaigns, team lead before spray operators visit villages)

• Regular community-based surveillance

• Referral for Malaria eases
• Structured community-based follow-up of diagnosed and treated patients to ensure adherence and identify side effects
• Support in expansion of HPP-LCD testing campaigns
• Basic entomology
