WORKSHOP MANAGER (tenable in Lobatse)

Gear Mining Construction wishes to recruit suitably qualified and experienced Botswana citizens. Positions are tenable at our various operations within Botswana mines, and our Lobatse workshop/factory.

WORKSHOP MANAGER (tenable in Lobatse)

The successful candidate will be required to oversee the day to day running of the workshop in line with production, quality and safety standards.

Minimum requirements are:

• Diploma in Mechanical or Structural Engineering plus 8 years of mining construction experience; or
• MQA Red Seal certificate or NCC – Boilermaking/Plater Welder or Fitting & Turning
• At least 10 years of workshop experience at Supervisor level (Foreman), plus 7 years of mining construction experience.
• Have an understanding of Auto-cad and other design programmes Experienced in engineering design drawing interpretation, steel fabrication and field installation
• Must hold a previous mine/legal appointment per Mines, Quarries & Machinery Act
• Good understanding of ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and OSHAS 18000 Understanding of ISO 45000 will be an added advantage.
• Good understanding of HIRA system and ability to implement an effective HSE Management system.
