MASCOM – SENIOR INFRASTRUCTURE ANALYST-STORAGE/VMWARE

To develop, implement, administer and support the corporate information systems infrastructure.

Key Performance Areas

• Lead the design, implementation and support of highly available multi-site infrastructure installations.
• Provide technical expertise for infrastructure programs and projects in a highly heterogeneous environment.
• Provide capacity and performance monitoring as well as disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Manage VMware, VDI as well as storage and backup infrastructure.
• Coordinate service needs with Vendors, Systems Analyst, Service Desk Technicians, Infrastructure teams and cross functional teams through effective partnership, collaboration and communication.
• Provide 2^nd Line Support for end users, and administration teams.
• Participate in incident and problem resolutions with other Infrastructure team members and other Technical departments.

Job Requirements

• Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• VMware certifications such as VCA, VCP, VCAP, ITIL and Prince 2 Practitioner are an added advantage.

Experience

• A minimum of five years’ experience designing, implementing and supporting IT Infrastructure.
• Extensive experience in VMware ESXi, VMware Horizon 7 for VDI and EMC Unity and Data Domain.
• Solid understanding of networking, infrastructure services; DNS, DHCP and SAN storage concepts.
