JOB TITLE: DRIVER/MESSENGER

JOB SUMMARY:

To accomplish their main goal of picking up and delivering documents or goods, perform various duties as assigned by management

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that packages or messages are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure that packages are ready for delivery by packing them in a safe manner.
• Maintain communication with destination and point of departure through cell phone.
• Ensure the highest degree of security and confidentiality of documents.
• Understand privacy rules and not tamper with package or document.
• Maintain records of daily visits in the logbook.
• Open and sort incoming mail and deliver to appropriate recipients within the office.
• Load and unload goods from vehicles.
• Ensure company vehicles are maintained.
• Deliver payments to stakeholders and suppliers
• Conduct purchases for office expenditure
• Collection of payments from stakeholders and customers
• Do daily banking in liaison with accounts officers
• Transport staff members when need anse
• Deliver correspondence to regulatory

authorities, (eg CIPA, BURS. NBFIRA)

• Ensure timely renewal for the vehicle’s licenses with DTRS
• Schedule any needed annual vehicle

examination for service vehicles with t DTRS

• Determine when and what kind of maintenance the vehicle’s needs, keep track of genet maintenance service schedules, especially car tyre condition
• Ensure the sound running of the vehicles assigned and arrange minor repairs where necessary
• Check oil and tyres properly and keep the service vehicles in dean condition, both inside and outside
• Do occasional handyman jobs in the Office

The above responsibilities will be done for the company and its related entities

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Certificate in Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education or IGCSE
• Computer literacy will be an added advantage

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• 2 Years of driving experience, having been a messenger in a busy organization.
