COMPLIANCE OFFICER

Tenable in Gaborone

Reporting to the Managing Director, the incumbent will act as a principal officer and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with life insurance legislative and underwriting requirements, maintenance of standards as well as handling queries received from Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority.

KEY OBJECTIVES

• Management of compliance to product specification and underwriting standards.
• Monitor compliance with Insurance, pension and provident funds and statutory regulations.
• Management and review of company training on products.

Insurance policies and regulations

• Compliance advisor on investments for the various product lines.
• Effective management of both staff pension and provident funds.
• Management of regulatory licensing of insurance sales agents and intermediaries
• Compliance reporting to the Insurance Industry regulator, management and the Board of Directors.
• Resolution of referred clients queries

REQUIREMENTS

• A relevant tertiary education in Business Administration or equivalent
• A Diploma In insurance or chartered Insurance Institute or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of senior management experience In insurance
• Previous experience in underwriting in the life Insurance industry will be an added advantage
