IT SECURITY OFFICER (GABORONE)- BPS 33/2/2 Vol.1 (30)

JOB SUMMARY

To provide and monitor IT security controls and solutions and ensure that they comply with best practice security policies. To provide IT security awareness to the organisation and to implement controls that will protect

the IT systems and information within the organisation.

The position directly reports to IT Security Manager

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS:

– A Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology OR equivalent qualification

EXPERIENCE:

– A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an IT support environment. Broad knowledge of IT Security Management, IT Systems Management and Control Techniques (ITIL – Service Management essentials) and IT

Security professional certifications will be an added advantage.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

– Analytical/ Troubleshooting skills Time Management

– IT Security Controls

– IT Security Management Knowledge on Penetration Testing

– Knowledge on Vulnerability Assessment IT Governance e.g. COBIT

– IT Service Management e.g. ITIL or MOF; Professional certifications like Certified Information Systems Audito; (CISA), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) will be an added advantage
