ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICER-RE-ADVERTISED

Applications are invited from citizens of Botswana for the position of Environmental Officer.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the SHE Manager, the incumbent will coordinate environmental management programme and initiatives; to manage the Environmental Management System (EMS) with the aim of establishing a sound framework for an Environmental Management Programme (EMP) that maximises the company value through minimising the cost of environmental risk at the same time ensuring compliance with legal requirements; and building capacity through training of all employees including senior managers.

Key Performance Areas include:

• Environmental Management System (EMS)
• Waste management
• Environmental rehabilitation
• Weather monitoring
• Environmental awareness strategies and
• ISO 14001 implementation

Requirements:

Ideally a Degree or High National Diploma in Environmental Management with a minimum of 3 years experience in an industrial environment.
