Chief Financial Officer – Minergy Ltd

Minergy Ltd a Botswana Stock Exchange Listed coal exploration and mining company seeks an experienced mining executive to be Its CFO.

Candidates must

Be a qualified Chartered Accountant with membership of a recognised professional accounting body;

Have at least 10 years of in-depth senior operational management experience (preferably at executive level) with IFRS reporting (including signing off on financial statements) and regulatory requirements, the required internal controls and processes, financial analysis, audits, assurance and accounting, treasury function, taxes and interaction with revenue authorities, and preferably for stock exchange-listed public companies in the mining sector;

Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment towards capital allocation, cash flow management and cash generation, solvency and general financial efficiency; Be able to fulfil the role as ambassador of Minergy and be equipped to represent the Company to all stakeholders in the absence of the CEO;

Have no prior criminal convictions;

Have significant shareholder and stakeholder relations experience, with the ability to demonstrate excellent community relations and a keen sense of community development;

Have experience with regulatory reporting required by stock exchanges and securities regulations, and also applicable codes of best practice;

Having served on the board of directors of a public company listed on an internationally recognised regulated stock exchange will be a significant advantage for candidate selection, given that the CFO will also be required to sit as an Executive Director on the Board and ultimately report to the CEO; and

Candidate willingness to relocate to Gaborone (capital city of Botswana — accessible with direct flights from OR Tambo International (Johannesburg) will be a significant advantage for candidate selection.
