Credit Risk Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To head an independent risk-oversight department that defines and implements a framework to approve, monitor and report on credit risks and exposures arising from lending, trading and settlement activities In accordance to set principles.
• Process Management: the candidate should be able to identify, document and monitor key processes to achieve successful business results. This involves development of framework for process improvement This Involves setting up processes that will ensure coherent process from customer level, debtors and accounts department.
• To partner with stakeholders to ensure functional and operational requirements ad adhered to and also test cases to address business requirements
• Ensure high quality business processes and collection procedures that address issues of compliance and ethics.
• Offer support to the Accounts Receivable team and help set objectives that align to their accounting goals and other key departments
• Maintaining detailed records on the applicants’ backgrounds: this includes keeping an accurate and up-to-date list of reviews required for credit regulations.
• Examining clients’ credit-related information (e.g. financial statements and financial data updates) in order to determine the financial risk that may take place in case of being conferred a credit.
• To determine the risk of default to the bank or lender
• Consult and negotiate with clients regarding financial transactions, payment terms, and credit limits.

Experience. Qualifications and Competencies:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• A qualification in Credit management and Risk Management
• A qualification in accounting will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of 8 years in the FMCG Industry.
• Solid expenence in Business Process Development
• Excellent communication skills with advanced technical writing skills
• Confident with the Cost – Benefit Analysis Process
• Excellent Leadership Skills
