VACANCY NO. FM /ANE 01/2019:

LECTURER

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) teach undergraduate medical students and postgraduate residents; (ii) conduct research in his/her areas of expertise and supervise medical students’ research projects; (iii) provide service to the university, profession and community; (iv) provide clinical care in affiliated hospitals; and (v) carry out any other duties as assigned by the head of the department.

Requirements: Applicants must have: (i) at least a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of surgery (MBBS/MBChB) or MD degree; (ii) a formal degree qualification as a specialist in Anesthesiology; (iii) credentials which satisfy registration requirements as a specialist in the stated specialty with the Botswana Health Professionals Council (BHPC).  Applicants should also show evidence of engagement in research and service.  Teaching experience at a University or comparable institution and evidence of effective academic leadership will be added advantages.
