LIBRARY OFFICER- TECHNICAL SERVICES – ONE POST wanted at Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources

Accountable to Librarian, the incumbent will be responsible for the following among others;

i. Create and verify bibliographic data, order, receive, process and issue library materials in accordance with internationally accepted standards, library and procedures in order to ensure availability to materials to customers.

ii. To attend to customer enquiries, inter-library loan requests, and referrals to effectively and efficiently meet customer expectations.

THE REQUIREMENTS

The right candidate must meet the following minimum requirements, among others;

i. Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Studies or equivalent.

ii. Two (2) years’ work related experience.

iii. Knowledge in cataloguing, classification, indexing, abstracting, preservation and conservation. Archives administration and records management.
