FIELD SERVICES TEAM LEADER – BOTSWANA TELECOMMUNICATIONS CORPORATION

Reporting to Field Services Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for maintenance and repair of services on the local access network, supervise Field Services Technicians doing installations in customer premises and the maintenance and repair of leased lines, check and process payments for outsourced works. The candidate will also be responsible for supervising outsourced partners in the installation and maintenance of access network and field engineering for the configuration, installation, maintenance and repair of PABX equipment.

You will be required to coordinate Field Services Technicians’ support for the implementation of special projects, monitor the closure of all completed work orders on the trouble ticketing and provisioning systems, monitor the automated field force work allocation system and confirm that workloads are evenly distributed amongst the team.

The ideal candidate should have a Degree in Telecommunications or equivalent with five (5) years professional experience in access network field engineering with emphasis on broadband, voice over IP and PABX installation and maintenance of which three (3) years should be the experience of field force supervision. A recognized professional association, CCNA, ERB and an advanced project management qualification is a requirement
