Experience and Qualifications:
– Minimum of 10 years legal secretarial and office administration experience in a dynamic, fast –
paced office
– Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word (cross referencing), PowerPoint, Excel
(tables) & formatting
– Excellent typing skills, speed and accuracy.
– Be able to work with minimal supervision.
– Be committed, able to work under pressure and multi-task.
Job Accountabilities:
– Diary management, co-ordination of appointments
– Client interaction both verbal and written
– Telephone duties: including effective screening and problem resolution
– Typing of agreements, general written correspondences, letters, pleadings and other
commercial documents (including Dictaphone typing)
– Maintaining an efficient and effective departmental filing system as well as archiving of closed
matters on a regular basis
– Assist with practice management (i.e. assisting all associates within the team)
– Assisting with client arrangements i.e. arranging client meetings for Attorneys
– General administration – filing, e-mails
– Assist with travel arrangements i.e. hotel reservations, flights etc
