Director – Group Operations (Hospitality)

Requirements: – Minimum of 12 years experience in hospitality

operations

• Main Responsibility to actively oversee the operations of 3 lodge properties, 5 remote luxury camps and development of an additional 3 remote luxury camps. The properties are in a widespread of Botswana’s major tourism locations, including Chobe, the Makgadikgadi Pans and the Okavango Delta
• 8 years experience in a similar position and a proven track record of successfully managing large and small individual and multiple property lodge, resort and luxury camp operations
• Experience of tourism operations in both urban and remote environments and of the many facets of tourism such as hotels, lodges, camps and associated activities is required
• Hotel school qualifications a must
• Prior experience of project management in relation to the development of new camps and lodges is required

• Proven knowledge of tourism marketing and the ability to identify and engage new and maintain existing markets is essential
• The successful candidate needs to be honest, self-motivated and self-driven
• Must have excellent planning and organizational skills
• Natural leader and team player and must be able to delegate to senior-level general managers and financial managers and to manage their

performance

• Will be responsible for the operational, developmental, financial and marketing obligations of the group, staff and HR issues, maintenance of the physical products and identification of new opportunities
• Reporting to the Chairman of the Board of Directors
