TECHNICAL MANAGER – MECHANICAL – CHOPPIES

Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer and supervising a small team of skilled engineers, the incoming candidate must be a Qualified project Mechanical Engineer and will take the lead for all technical facets of the business; from product design and development, project management, Respon production engineering, quality engineering, cost analysis, and everything in between.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Direct all activities for engineering project(s) including planning and managing technical performance to ensure quality, business, and financial objectives are attained.
• Develop and implement current, annual and long-term technical, schedule, quality, business, and financial objectives for the engineering unit(s) and may also participate in the development of Group/Company objectives.
• Establish design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, testing, and integration.
• Directs, performs and supports critical staffing, deployment, employee development, and employee performance activities.
• Interact with management, suppliers, customer representatives end users or other stakeholders (internal/external).
• Contribute to the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract(s).
• Ensure technical leadership and excellence is maintained by directing and participating in the planning, attraction, selection, Choppies retention, and development of the required management professional, and technical talent.
• Lead progress review sessions to discuss cost, schedule technical performance.
