Business Development Manager – Botswana Medical Aid Society (Bomaid)

Overview

Botswana Medical Aid Society (Bomaid) is a medical aid fund established to provide affordable healthcare solutions to its members through innovation and excellence.

Bomaid is looking for dynamic, experienced and hands on individuals for the above position.

Main purpose of the job
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying sales leads, maximizing on all sales opportunities, building relationships with both prospective and existing clients as well as leading a sales and relationship management teams.

Key Performance Areas
Develops and implements strategy and plans for achieving sales targets.
Develops and coordinates sales and promotion strategies and tactics to enhance the sales revenues from organizations /products and services.
Generates a significant average monthly sales leads to be converted to new sales to achieve targeted subscription revenue.
Generates and maintains a monthly average stipulated new membership targets of converted sales leads to achieve revenue goal.
Oversees sales and distribution of society’s products and services in order to increase market share.
Oversees implementation of sales promotion programs.
Researches into and develop new markets and expand on existing market segments.
Overall member retention backed up by good relationship management, member engagement and faster resolution of queries.

Job requirements:
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing /Sales or related field. A minimum of eight (8) years’ post qualification experience in a marketing environment.
