SENIOR LABORATORY CONSULTANT wanted at Mineral Services

Mineral Services is an internationally recognised consulting company specialised in the provision of advanced technical solutions and expert services to the exploration and mining industry.

The company has regional offices in Vancouver (Canada), Cape Town (South Africa) and Gaborone (Botswana).

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The successful candidate will be required to fulfil the following roles:

• The design, construction, equipment fabrication and instalment of a base metal and diamond indicator mineral processing laboratory.

.• Technical management of a base metal and diamond indicator mineral processing laboratory.

• Responsibility for designing and implementing processing protocols and standard operating procedures for the laboratory.
• The complete management of the supply chain supporting the laboratory and equipment maintenance.
• Full responsibility for the QA/QC and reporting of geochemical and analytical data.
• Reporting to the shareholders of Mineral Services Botswana and Mineral Service’s stakeholders that hold Botswana prospecting licenses.
• Training and imparting specialised knowledge on the installation and technical management of the base metal and diamond indicator mineral processing laboratory.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of a PHD degree in relevant geoscience discipline
• At least 20 years of high level experience in base metal and diamond indicator mineral processing
• Comprehensive knowledge and competence in the manufacture of laboratory equipment, the design of laboratory processes and implementation of standard operating procedures for the laboratory.
• Strong computer and data management skills
