Commercial & Finance Manager – Tshukudu Metals Botswana (Pty) Ltd

Key Performance Areas, KPAs

• Responsibility for all commercial and finance functions, including but not limited to commercial functions, procurement, financial reporting and taxation requirements
• Develop, implement and ensure adherence of divisional business and operational standards, policies and procedures, systems and processes
• Formulate short, medium and long-term functional strategies based on the overall business and Company strategy and objectives
• Ensure realisation of the Company’s in country business and operational objectives
• Effective recruitment and development of the Commercial and Finance team.
• Continuous promotion of safe working practices, driving the Company’s Don’t Walk Past culture and philosophy.

Managerial & Technical Competencies

• Proven track record in managing a large Finance Division, including the Procurement function
• Understanding internal and external controls and Audit Financial Management and Reporting
• Public reporting
• Mining sector experience at operational and HQ level
• Transformational leadership
• Strategic thinking
• Understanding of Basic Contracts Law
• Financial Management Skills
• Contract Negotiation and Drafting Skills

Experience & Qualification

The successful candidate must have;

• Minimum of a degree in Commerce or Finance discipline is a prerequisite for the role Legal qualification will be added advantage
• At least twenty (20) years’ similar experience gained from working in a professional services firm and a global operation within the mining industry
