COMPANY SECRETARY wanted at National Agricultural Research and Development Institute

Main Purpose of the Job:

To Plan, organise and manage the company’s legal services to deliver efficient legal and Board secretarial services; ensure NARDI’s compliance with ad statutory, regulatory and best practice requirements m all aspects of corporate governance and management and be responsible for the drafting of legal documents, notice(s) of the meeting agendas. Minutes. Annual Reports and all other corporate documents m addition to advising and representing the company in legal matters.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree and admitted practicing m Botswana. Chartered Secretary Qualification will be an added advantage (Member of the Law Society of Botswana).

Experience: At least Eight (8) years relevant post qualification experience of which three (3) should have been at management level in a corporate governance environment

Competencies: Applicants must have a thorough knowledge of Botswana Company law. regulations, and corporate governance norms; a deep understanding of the governance and management of State-Owned Enterprises; and have excellent networking, analytical, problem-solving, communication and advocacy dolls
