SENIOR MINE SURVEYOR wanted at Mupane Gold Mine

Reporting to the Mine Manager, applicants should hold a Degree in Surveying with at least five (5) years surveying experience, including at least five (5 ground mining operations, and some time spent at supervisory level.

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Demonstrate proficiency with using Model Maker and SURPAC software
• Provide accurate and timely end of month pit. dump and stockpile surveying reports and volume calculations

• Prepare and update end of year mine plans for submission to the Department of Mines, and maintain all survey plans and records in accordance with legislation
• Prepare technical Information to support mine operations
• Dally pick-up and set-out of bench floor levels and ramps, mining faces, ore blocks, drill patterns and final pit limits.
• Precision monitoring of potential pit wall and dump movement
• Supervision and training of a small team of survey assistants

The ideal candidate should have a comprehensive knowledge of the Mines, Quarries. Works and Machinery regulations in Botswana and should have a Surveyor Certificate, including a broad understanding of planning, scheduling and surveying concepts, with ability to coach and foster talents In others.
