POSITION: ASSISTANT OPERATIONS MANAGER

Main Purpose of the Job

To deputise the Operations Manager and assume the responsibility for planning operational functions of the company, and direct oversight of day to day activities of the unit under charge and the direction of the Operations Manager.

Key Performance Areas

• Assisting in the department’s Management and Financial Control
• Managing stock, inventory, purchases and logistics
• Implementing the developed Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Participating in the formulation of sectional policies, procedures and objectives
• Maintaining relationships with stakeholders and implementing Service levelagreements
• Focusing on client needs and ensuring good customer satisfaction
• Monitoring compliance with approved Security procedures and standards
• Documenting and managing records of the Operations activities
• Identifying business opportunities
• Troubleshooting and solving related problems
• Setting goals, drawing up and implementing action plans for staff members
• Complies and enforces Safety and Health procedures and Standards
• Maintaining ethical behavior and best practice in line with organization’s standards and values

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain Management , CIPS, Accounting and other related qualification, formal training in stock management. Computer skills and familiar with Pastelor related packages.
• Valid Driver’s license

Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position in the retail and distribution industry, preferably the medical environment.
