Sewing and Quilting Machine Technician – Gabs Bedding (Pty) Ltd

Gabs Bedding (Pty) Ltd an established manufacturer of mattress and Base Sets in Botswana, invites applications for the position of Sewing and Quilting Machine Technician

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Minimum of six years experience in repairing and maintaining sewing, quilting and leatherworking machines.
• Experience in operating pneumatic staple guns, nail guns, and pneumatic clinching tools.
• Experience in servicing staple and nail tools
• Extensive repair skills on various sewing machines like straight stitch, double-needle, overlocker, leather skiving machine, and border fabrication machine
• Tape edge machine operating and servicing skills

MAIN TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct machine set up, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance service
• Provide scheduled and emergency repairs of equipment during production and during service schedules
• Prepare and set up machinery for production runs
