Nurse – Mupane Gold Mine

Reporting to the Health Centre Coordinator, the candidate should have Diploma in General Nursing and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience In nursing field, experience In the mining industry will be an added advantage. The key performance areas of the job are as follows:

• Proactively participating in Mupane’s safety initiatives to strive for the goal of ZERO HARM.
• Managing injuries on duty from first aid until return to work.
• Attending to minor illnesses that occur at work and providing treatment on-site for employees with chronic illness.
• Maintaining detailed records of patient treatment.
• Providing full and relevant health education to employees.
• Assist the EHS with departmental activities.
• Active participation in inspections, audits, meetings, training and other activities designed to enhance safety awareness at the site if required.
• Adherence to safety, health and environmental policies in the area of responsibility.

The successful candidates should have excellent technical knowledge and skills, including strong organisational and operational skills with the ability to communicate with others and a “team orientated” approach to the achievement of tasks.
