CLERK ASSISTANT (B5/3) – HIGH COURT

VACANCY CIRCULAR NO: 14 OF 2020
Experience: Entry level
Salary Scale: B5/3 (P 38 592.00 – P 60 372.00) per annum
Leave: 20 working days per annum.
Benefits: Optional contributory Medical Aid Scheme. (Government pays 50% and Employee 50%).
Pension: Contributory Pension Fund (Government pays 15% and Employee pays 5%).

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Registers cases and maintains case registers
Dispatches writs and summons to relevant persons/ organizations
Files cases records and document and
Assists the public on simple routine procedures of the registration of cases

Key performance areas
1. Provides guidance to customers
2. Attends to customer queries

Maintenance of Court Records
1. Captures data on all case types events of default judgments, taxation and assessment of damages
2. Scans subsequent pleadings in the electronic filing system
3. Keeps record of file movement
4. Maintains both civil and criminal record books
5. Registers court cases both manually and electronically

Finance
1. Collects revenue and remits court fees, fines, and maintenance payments.
2. Prepares payment vouchers
