Mechanical Engineer wanted at Mupane Gold Mining (Pty) Ltd (MGM)

Specific responsibilities will include:

– Ensure control technology is accurately calibrated and achieves optimum performance development, implementation and successful management of preventative and predictive maintenance programs
– Maintaining mining mechanical plant and equipment to high levels of availability and reliability whilst controlling costs and spare parts availability
– Development, justification and implementation of approved performance improvement initiatives including associated capital equipment acquisition, installation and commissioning
– Mining process commissioning
– Liaison with process team to develop the maintenance process
– Selection and management of maintenance contractors
– Ensuring safety and environment procedure development and implementation
– Maintaining hard rock crusher, mills, screens, feeders, pumps, motors (DC,AC and Synchronous)
– Providing basic knowledge of SCADA and Telemachnique modicon TSX PLC
– Eligible for statutory appointment as per the Botswana Mines Quarry and Machinery Act
– Underground mining mechanical and electrical maintenance experience
