Accountabilities:
- Serves as a contact person for staff and guests entering the office before directing them to the receptionist.
- Maintains COVID -19 register and inventory records
- Registers and takes temperatres for all staff and guests entering the office. Reports to the supervisor any unusal temperatures as advised by relevant authorities
- Ensures staff and guests are compliant with COVID -19 regualutions i.e wearing of masks, washing of hands/ sanitizing and social distancing to minimize exposure to COVID-19
- Ensures that cleaning protocols carried out by cleaners are being followed
- Alerts supervisor on safety hazards and occurances
- Ensure COVID-19 posters that encourage staying home when sick, cough and sneeze etiquette, and hand hygiene are strategically placed and visible i.e at entrances, dining areas, office passages etc
- Identify plans that will create a safe working environment.
- Shares presentations during general staff meetings on COVID -19 latest information
- Produces daily, weekly and monthly reports to supervisor on office visits
- Attends health and safety meetings
- May have to work beyond working hours on Fridays and weekends
- Perform other lawful duties and responsibilities as requested
Problem Solving & Impact:
- Identifies and recognizes problems that have established procedures and limited impact.
- Refers non-standard questions and problems to higher level.
- Errors can be easily and quickly detected within the immediate work unit and would result only minor disruption or expense to correct.
Supervision Given/Received:
- General supervision and instructions given for routine work and detailed instructions with periodic work review given for new activities or special assignments.
- Contacts are with individuals within own organization and with contacts from outside the organization.
- Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data requiring some explanation or interpretation.
Education:
- High School qualification
- A certificate in Occupational Health and Safety will be an added advantage
Experience:
- 1-2 years of related office administration experience.
- Demonstrated experience with office software applications and spreadsheets.
- Read, write and speak English; fluent in Setswana language required.
