ACCOUNTING SENIOR wanted at Nexus Chartered Accountants

Nexus is a non-audit accounting consultancy focused on delivering financial accounting expertise to small and medium-sized enterprises (SME). With offices in Gaborone, Nexus currently has the following vacancy:

Position Title: ACCOUNTING SENIOR (1)

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Coordinating projects and teams on key accounts
• Overseeing various accounting and taxation functions including conducting and presenting business appraisals
• Documenting accounting procedures and preparing accounting manuals
• Producing client reports such as annual financial statements, management reports etc
• Managing the productivity of the assigned team

Qualifications and Experience:

• The applicant should be a CA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA qualified professional
• Must be a BICA Member in good standing
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in accounting and tax, 5 years of which are in a supervisory role
• Experience in key accounting software such as QuickBooks and Pastel is a prerequisite. Knowledge or certification in other packages clients may use is an added advantage
• Have excellent report writing skills
• Experience in business development
