ACCOUNTS OFFICER -TEMPORARY wanted at BPOMAS

 

LOCATION: BPOMAS Office, Gaborone

PURPOSE OF JOB

This position exists to facilitate the organising of the daily processing of BPOMAS accounting records and information to ensure the accurate and timely production of accounts in accordance with laid down procedures and schedules, accounting policies and standards and client expectations.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

1. Financial accounting functions;
2. Financial accounting systems management;
3. Financial accounting operations;
4. Auditing;
5. Financial reporting;
6. F) Risk management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• AAT or equivalent or studying towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

EXPERIENCE

• 2 years of working experience in Accounting or related field

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

1. Ability to analyse complex information.
2. Ability to act on changes and use initiative to overcome challenges.
3. Ability to work independently and under pressure.
4. Ability to plan and organize.
5. Excellent communication both written and oral.
6. Excellent computer literacy and working experiences in MS Office programs and relevant accounting systems.
